Growing up in the UK I was a bit late to learn of the work of Frank Lloyd Wright ( 1867-1959) as nearly all his work is in the US. The Guggenheim & Falling Water was about all I knew of.

On a recent trip to Phoenix I visited his winter house and office , Taliesin West.

Totally rad , not much more to say. Check him out .

Next must be a visit to Taliesin East ....

Metropolitan May Mural

Just finished a Seattle Skyline mural on a neighbour's wall . First time in a while I've wielded the old airbrush but loved painting again .

The patron liked it and I'm getting paid in beer ( hopefully enough to swim in ) - next time it'll be cash.

Tim Dog R.I.P.

Saddened to hear last week of Tim Dog's passing.
For those of you who say "Tim who ? " take some time to read his obituaries .
For a nerdy English white 20 something back in the early nineties he was both enthralling and ridiculous - his classic single F#©K Compton verged on a comedy record but was also as angry and aggressive as hell . I remember I played that record real loud and sat in awe.
Tim Westwood when he was still vaguely credible played a radio censored version which was so bleeped out as to be nonsense .
As for dear old Timmy Dog's track " Secret Fantasies " with Kool Keith and Ced Gee - bananas !

He took no shorts ! Freddy Kruger couldn't f#©k with him either.
WWooooo !

Thanks for the support , I am still adding to the blog but as I am primarily interested in visuals I have started an Instagram account and am getting quite into it - so If you are on it , start following me and If you are not on it,  get on it . It's quick to upload pics so it's more up to date that this blog .

I do like a nice large image though so the blog lives on .

Ralf & Florian's Studio

This is the back cover of  Kraftwerk's Ralf and Florian LP.

I'm no musician but that is the coolest looking studio bar none ( It's got a traffic cone in it ).

Looks like it could be Williamsburg circa 2013 but it 40 years ago in Düsseldorf.

Lemoncello

Late last year I completed my first (of many ) batch of homemade Lemoncello.

It takes 8 weeks of maturing lemons and grain alcohol in a Closed Vapour System.

This is then tempered with a simple syrup to bring it down to a respectable 35% alcohol by volume.

Don't think I'm legally allowed to sell it but hit me up if you want in on the next batch due March 2013.
