21. To Sell a T-Shirt to Suckers

An old friend was in town last weekend and told me about a men's vintage clothes wholesaler called Orange Crush down in Tacoma he was going to ( don't try and Google it - this guy lies low , good on him !).
On Tuesday I made the trek down there with The Meter Wrecker and was not disappointed .
The place was vast ( not quite as big as the Boeing factory ) with 5 ft. pile upon 5 ft. pile of clothes - want a letterman jacket ? No I don't either but he had about 300 of them to choose from. Insane amounts of vintage military - it was off the hook as those rappers say
I was there for a good few hours and only got to scratch the surface of his T- Shirt stash.
Here's a couple of my purchases

Boeing Boeing Bong

Last week I visited the Boeing Factory up at Everett , 30 miles north of Seattle.
Ever since I used to go through the round window on Playschool I've loved factories.
Everyone needs to stop and think how things are made.
Up at Boeing they produce the most complicated piece of consumer machinery know to man - a 747 has 6 million different components.( I say 'consumer' as if you have a few $100 million to blow they would love to hear from you)
The tour was hardcore about no photos so I pinched the interior photos but the others are mine.
The scale of the place was staggering , you couldn't really take it in- 25,000 people work there in 3 shifts 24 hours a day.
It was BIG.
I'm still scared of flying though.

Cold Camping ?

You may think October is a bit late in the year for camping , especially if you live in Northern Europe, but I just got back from a trip to Klickitat , Washington State.
We were staying at Morton Manor and had a great time . Highlights were the 18 hole frisbee golf course( 12 over par) , Bill's Saturday movie screening( The Gods Must Be Crazy) , Alan's Margaritas ( all 3 three of them), attack of the sunset ninjas and the tree house (see below).
All in all a great time - the nights were cold but I didn't care.

Tree House

As mentioned a fine feature of Morton Manor last weekend was their treehouse.
I've always loved treehouses - the idea of escaping up a tree to ones own space.
I was rather jealous - I just need a) some space to put one up and b) a tree.
